Words We Seem To Have Forgotten
Here are some words that I believe many of we Christians seem to have forgotten. We are called as Christian brothers and sisters to be “set apart,” to be “a peculiar people.” Do people see the difference in you and me or are we living so much like the world that people would not even know we were Christians?
Titus 2:14
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
Consecration: Consecration is the solemn dedication to a special purpose or service, usually religious. The word “consecration” literally means “setting apart.” Persons, places, or things can be consecrated, and the term is used in various ways by different groups.
Holiness: purity, Godliness
Sanctification: Sanctification is the act of setting apart someone or something for a holy purpose and use. Christians are in a continuing state of sanctification.
Redemption: (Christianity) the act of delivering from sin or saving from evil
